President Donald Trump says he’s ordered the declassification of all government records relating to Amelia Earhart and particularly her unsuccessful circumnavigation attempt that ended in mystery in 1937. “Her disappearance, almost 90 years ago, has captivated millions,” Trump said in a social media post. “I am ordering my Administration to declassify and release all Government Records related to Amelia Earhart, her final trip, and everything else about her.”
Trump didn’t say what triggered the order, just that he has “been asked by many people about the life and times of Amelia Earhart.” Earhart and her last flight, along with navigator Fred Noonan, has been exhaustively researched since their disappearance and it’s not clear what, if any, new information is in the government files. The Purdue Research Foundation is funding an expedition to Nikumaroro in the Pacific to check out a wreck spotted on satellite imagery in November which they hope will “close the book” on the Earhart mystery.

Wrong files, Donald.
Indeed, indeed.
Also, ~what~ Earhart files? Is this a thing? I suppose if they exist, yeah, go ahead and release ’em.
Yes yes
Priceless! Releasing the “other E files” would be too boring wouldn’t it?
There is nothing to release.
E is a powerful letter in the alphabet.
E for Earhart
E for Economy
E for Education
E for Easterbunnies
E for Everything
The only E- word we seem to avoid like the devil is Epstein.
Whatever it takes, I assume. Whatever it takes!
Cue the jerking knees.
No wonder she didn’t make it. She was flying a Palm tree.
You’re right. The glide ratio of most palm trees is far less than mediocre. If the engine quits, just look straight down to see your landing spot.
We already knew what happened.
Woman pilot got lost.
