At Sun ‘n Fun 2026 in Florida Textron Aviation brought three models in its Pipistrel line—The Sinus powered glider, the Alpha Trainer, and the in-development Panthera. Textron’s Chris Crow said a few words about each and announced some additions to the Cessna single-engine piston line.

Very few specifics on any of these three. Everything is great and exciting. This is from their VP of Sales. Textron must think they are going to sell themselves.
Not sure their naming is the best—Sinus? Maybe follow-up models could be the Otitis and, I dunno, the Bronchus?
I can say only that Sinus is preferable to their Virus. I guess the notion was (pre-Covid) that flying the Virus would be so infectious that everyone would want to. Absolutely great flying airplanes but they really do need name changes, at least for the US market.
