Rob Reider Joins AvBrief

AvBrief is proud and excited to announce that Rob Reider, aviation’s best-known voice, is joining us with a biweekly podcast that allows pilots to learn from the mistakes of others. “The Reider Report” will feature interviews with pilots, some of them famous, some from the hangar next door, recounting incidents in which things didn’t go as planned and the lessons learned from those experiences. Rob’s first podcast deals with a pilot who experienced steadily degrading performance without any obvious cause and what he took from that tense experience. It will be emailed to the full AvBrief list on Thursday, Jan. 8. The podcasts are sponsored by Avemco Insurance Company. Reider, a world-renowned airshow announcer (now retired) and Emmy Award winning television personality, is an accomplished IFR-rated pilot who regularly flies his RV-7A. Below is our video interview with Reider, and the press release we issued today is below that. Anyone with a story to tell is encouraged to email Reider directly at rob@avbrief.com.

He Airbossed one of my C-17 demos.

Our “Walk up” intro in his brief was the clip of John Wayne smacking the sense back into Robert Stack in “The High and the Mighty”.

Good chuclkes had by all.
