Gulfstream and Textron return to NBAA/BACE with full displays as the world’s most consequential business aviation trade show gets underway at the Las Vegas Trade and Convention Center this week, and AvBrief will be there to cover all the news with an experienced team of writers and multimedia professionals. Gulfstream has skipped the show the last two years, and its absence helped to force rethinking the aircraft static display at Henderson Executive Airport. The newly named Aircraft Connection will be a shorter (one-and-a-half day) event with the emphasis on aircraft rather than pavilions and meeting space. Gulfstream will bring all its latest designs, including the massive G800, along with a mockup of its recently announced model. We’ll have coverage on both.
Textron almost missed last year’s convention but put together a static display at the airport at the last minute. There they announced their new Citation Ascend and showed a mockup. A flying aircraft will be there this year and we’ll show you all the details. Bombardier is making its usual strong showing and will have its Global 7500, Global 6500, and Challenger 3500 aircraft on display. They’ve also promised an unveiling of some sort and we’ll be there for that. There are numerous meetings, seminars, and educational sessions at the convention center on the Strip, and the keynote speaker is platinum-selling country music artist and passionate business aviation operator Dierks Bentley. Stick with AvBrief for all the highlights from the big show.
