Global 8000 Certified

Bombardier is hoping to deliver its first Global 8000 to a customer before the end of the year after Transport Canada issued type certification late last week. The aircraft was certified with a top speed of 0.95 Mach, making it the fastest business aircraft. It also comes with a cabin altitude of 2,691 feet when the aircraft is at 41,000 feet. “With this industry benchmark for reduced cabin altitude, along with numerous other design features, we help passengers have the most comfortable in-flight experiences in the industry,” said Bombardier’ Stephen McCullough.

The plane has an 8,000-nm range and the wings have slats that enable it to use smaller airports. Inside are four living spaces, including a dedicated crew area. It’s not clear who will get the first airplane. Comlux announced it was buying a Global 8000 at NBAA-BACE last month but that delivery is scheduled for 2026.

Oh, goody! Now the celebs can get to their climate conferences quicker and in more comfort!

I won’t be buying one since my house sits at just under 7,000′ MSL. The pressurization system would kill me with all that extra air.
