Serial business jet entrepreneur Kenny Dichter says the third time is the charm with his latest venture, Real Jet. The new company, which comes after colorful forays into the market with Marquis Jet and Wheels Up, is a straightforward aircraft brokerage with 5,000 to 10,000 customers that Dichter says builds on the experience gained with the other high-profile ventures to match clients with the right aircraft and, perhaps most importantly, the experience. He said lessons learned from previous ventures have shown him the consistent attention to customer wants and desires are the key to a successful aircraft brokerage. “You can never, ever, take for granted how important each individual customer and flight is,” he told a news conference at NBAA-BACE 2025 in Las Vegas. Below is our interview with Dichter.
The demand for business jets has never been higher, both new and used, and Dichter says there’s a fresh crop of new millionaires, including 250,000 in the crypto market, who are ready to try private aviation. Despite the surge in activity, he said most of the country’s wealthiest people don’t use it. He said about 85% of people with the money to fly privately haven’t done so, and that means there’s untapped potential.
