Daher will unveil the latest iteration of its TBM series on Thursday in an online presentation. The company isn’t revealing any details about the update except that it “sets a new standard for pilots and passengers alike, combining intuitive cockpit control with an enhanced cabin experience to retain the TBM’s competitive edge at the forefront of high-performance general aviation/business aviation aircraft.” The event will be held at 11 a.m. Eastern and is by invitation.
The current version of the speedy turboprop single is the 960, which sports a maximum cruise speed of 330 knots and has a maximum payload of 1470 pounds. It can seat up to six people and, depending on the configuration, has a maximum range of 1,730 nm. Daher regularly updates the TBM so the 960 is pretty current, but the company promises significant improvements in the new model. The new aircraft will be revealed after a Q&A with reporters that will be hosted from the company’s plant in Tarbres, France.
