We think the latest Cirrus SF50 G3 Vision Jet kicks an already well-rounded product up several notches, and perhaps the most useful is the CPDLC or Controller-Pilot Data Link Communications system that’s integrated within the Garmin Perspective+Touch avionics suite. As we prove in a busy flight demo in the Northeast airspace on a winter IFR day, ATC text messaging for clearances considerably curtails radio chatter. There’s also a redesigned upscale cabin that adds another passenger seat, much better exterior lighting, automatic data updates while the airplane is parked, and a variety of other features on the 2026 Vision Jet. In this video, Cirrus’s Matt Bergwall and AvBrief’s Smart Aviator Editor Larry Anglisano point the $3.69 million jet northbound (a flagship model fresh off the Cirrus assembly line) for a look.
Special thanks to Rick Montero.

Larry looks warm for once!
Nicely produced video! Good job by both Larry and Matt, the Cirrus rep.
Interesting. But I don’t think I like the texting messages unless you have a second pilot. It requires recognizing you have a message pending and then a need for concentration on the message and digesting. I think I still like hearing rather than reading and digestion. Too much heads down focus.
One wonders how the Cirrus single turbofan aircraft compares to various high performance single engine turboprop aircraft, regarding propulsive efficiency.
nice bird . does it have a chute?
yes, all Vision Jets are equipped with a CAPS whole-airplane parachute.
does this bird hav a side stick?
If these two men speak on the radio, the way they spoke in this video, then CPDL C will free up a great deal of frequency, congestion.
If we’re going to go through all of that effort in demonstrating and narrating on camera a complex product in that much detail—in a way that you can understand it—we’re gonna get our word’s worth!
I was referring to the uhs and ums.
