Avionics Satisfaction Survey

AvBrief’s Smart Aviator is conducting an avionics product and installation satisfaction survey. If you had an avionics installation done within the past three years, we want to hear from you. Please complete the survey here, and look for a full report on our findings in an upcoming issue.

What type of aircraft do you own/operate?
In which category is your aircraft?
What brand of avionics did you purchase and or have installed?
How many unit repairs/replacement components were needed?
How would you describe the overall performance and reliability?
What is your level of satisfaction with the brand of your avionics, to include its customer support?
What is your level of satisfaction with the shop/installer (and third-party wiring facility if it's a homebuilt system) including how it handled warranty repairs
How long was the aircraft down for the installation?
Are you satisfied with the avionics' ability to work with third-party equipment (in other words, how well does it play with others)?
How did you learn to operate your new avionics?
If building an experimental kit, how much of the work did you outsource?
What was the level of difficulty if you did the work yourself?
If you performed a DIY installation (for an Experimental airplane, as an example), how would you rate the documentation?
If you knew then what you know now, would you still make the investment?
Has the upgrade expanded your mission capabilities?
Which tablet apps are you using?
