You guys are spearheading a movement in response to AI. Don’t stop. You will be successful beyond belief.
AI will never replace human input, it’s just not possible. People are chasing AI without fully understanding it.
Real people do not want to interact with machines, they want to interaction with real people.
This is all pretty much a no brainer. Keep pushing forward. I think you will end up surprising yourself.
Bravo! Keep on!
Message To Readers:
I am not affiliated with AVBrief or any of folks who are rallying in support of this effort, but I am part of a cadre of Builders, Pilots, Mechanics, and even FAA Inspectors, who are committed to supporting this new effort.
The message is: go out of your way to support those businesses that choose to advertise in AVBrief and let them know you saw their message in AVBrief. This action is the best way to support Russ Niles and Team.
Thank you Russ and Larry for all you are doing! The old site was starting to feel like it was just a cheap coat of new paint slapped over a corroding airframe of a once-proud aircraft. This new site feels like a well-designed kit aircraft that is a modernized version of a trusted airframe. I look forward to seeing what is to come!
To Russ and all Avbrief contributers,
Thank You for Keeping aviation journalism human and for your commitment to keeping ai-generated articles out of your newsletter. Your dedication to authentic, human-crafted aviation journalism is refreshing in today’s landscape, and it preserves the expertise, nuance, and passion that make this field so special. I look forward to each issue knowing it’s built on real experience and insight.
Blue skies ahead, I hope!
contributors LOL!
What we all look for in these articles is the trust in the editors that what they convey to us is real and valid stuff. You folks bring it in spades! Kudos and many thanks.
I am recommending AvBrief to my friends and students. I believe in what you guys are doing.
Well, I’m not sure what to think…? All the news networks (ABC, CBS, CNN, FOX, NBC on and on) turned to AI many years ago which has brought the popularity of Independent Celebrity Video Podcasters forward to being more popular everyday. As journalists, investigate who and what is the new editor of all these so called ‘press releases’. The Pilatus Tariff headline could have read “USA Aviation Increase Sales”. AI chose which headline to push.
I don’t know if anyone over 50 knows about the younger generations and how they use social media and AI searching for news behind the Major AI Network Front but, personalities on Rumble and youtube have 10’s & 10’s of millions of subscribers and growing. AVBrief is just a product of the search for non-AI edited news. A little personality, caring and opinion is Only Human.
I Know all you old guys are calling me a “Conspiracy Theory Nut” for not believing the AI networks but, I’m running out of conspiracies. 😉
Automated AI Reporting is for Automated Readers. Don’t be an Automated Reader.
AvBrief is more than just a reaction to growing “AI” foolishness. The Old Site had been declining for years with far-removed ownership prioritizing $ over everything else, including the journalism and user experience. I support this effort! And oh yeah, get some guest articles from Bertorelli. Blue Skies!
@KlausM: ABC, CBS, CNN and NBC journalistic standards require confirmation by three independent verifiable sources before officially labeling a story as actual fact. Not so at FOX.
I think Avweb is having a Bud Lite moment right now.
Naw, they are now actively removing posts which are deemed inconvenient or critical and also run silent edits when readers point out errors in reporting. All is well on the Andrea Doria.
I fervently hope for the best of everything and the success of AvBrief! Larry Anglisano is one of my aviation journalist heroes since the days I first met him at Exxel Aviation at MHFD. My sagging bookshelves are overflowing with years of Aviation Consumer magazines! I look forward to absorbing Larry’s aviation expertise in the nearest possible future, and thereafter.
Too kind, Peter. Glad to see your name.
So glad to have this crew back in my inbox. Thanks!!!
Deleted my Avweb bookmark in favor of this. Great work!
AI can be a great research tool but it takes experience and vision to do an informed comment on a situation I am happy you guys are getting back to having an intelligent experienced mind commenting on things. Av Brief is my # 1 source now
