AV-20 Update Fixes Bugs

uAvionix says its latest software update for its AV-20-S and -E multifunction displays resolves some frustrating issues and improves the safety and reliability of the device. The new software particularly targets the Angle of Attack function that was “tricky to configure and often went unused.” The company said the software is a complete overhaul of the function and delivers much better reliability. “The update reflects direct customer feedback and builds on last year’s v1.7.1 release with performance, usability, and accuracy refinements that pilots can trust,” a company news release said.

The new software resolves an issue with aircraft that have slanted instrument panels including the Carbon Cub, Mooney M20E, and several in the RV series. The update refreshes the display organization and adds an analog clock.
