A350 Drops Wheel Taking Off at Las Vegas

A British Airways A350 shed one of the wheel assemblies on its right main landing gear while taking off from Harry Reid Las Vegas International Airport Monday. The aircraft completed the takeoff roll, and the landing gear was almost fully retracted when the wheel fell off. It’s not clear where the almost 5-foot-diameter tire landed or whether it damaged anything. No injuries were reported. The plane carried on to London and landed normally. The video below was captured by an automated camera operated by LASVEGASAIRPORTLIVE.
