But as this very cute and catchy song says, “You can always go around”. https://youtu.be/lr5d3sGxSXQ?si=-LQs6RWa1AErkpSw
Thanks for that catchy song, smiled all the way through!
Welcome. But forgot to add, you just can’t get it out of you head then. I’m sitting here with it still in my ear.
Kinda depends on your fuel reserves, doesn’t it? Given that freighters are rarely allotted any weight for extra fuel when it could be used for extra cargo, I’d suspect he was playing bingo after the second go-around. At that crab angle, I’m amazed that it didn’t collapse the gear.
What Aviatrexx said. Armchair jokes about “You can always go around” ar totally inappropriate here. My guess is those of you who are armchairing have never flown outside the CONUS and don’t know what it means to be under fuel reserves pressure, 10+ hours ahead of destination ETA.
That catchy video is for appropriate fun. Makes me giggle. Always make your own go around decisions.
You can almost always go around, but if you have inadequate fuel to get to a friendlier runway…..
