The FAA has released the Oshkosh NOTAM (officially called the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026 Notice) for this year’s AirVenture, and it is required reading for all pilots who want to wag their wings for the controllers this year. “The most essential information for any pilot flying to Oshkosh involves reading and thoroughly understanding the 2026 AirVenture Notice to ensure safe operations on arrival and departure,” said Sean Elliott, EAA’s vice president of advocacy and safety. “We urge all pilots to adequately prepare prior to their trip to Oshkosh and consider such things as our AirVenture arrival flight review so they have the proficiency and confidence to fly safely.”
Oshkosh-bound pilots are also encouraged to join a webinar June 17 at 7 p.m. Central to be brought up to date on changes to this year’s Notice. Among those changes are new VFR reporting points and new routes for those going into Appleton. A downloadable copy of the document is available here, and EAA will mail a hard copy for free to anyone who asks. The notice is in force from noon July 16 to noon July 27. It includes all the diverse types of aircraft that are headed to the show, including those that land at other nearby airports.
